Taken shortly after I arrived in Quito, this photo is still one of my favorites. Students protest a new education law that is still being worked through. Protests still occur due to the laws initiation, only I believe the protests have appeared to get worse. After the shot of tear gas we received the second time we went ( I wanted to photograph from the student side), there has been no return.

Deportivo Quito Campeones!

The Championship game between Deportivo Quito and Cuenca ended well with Quito winning 3-2. My first futbol game was super fun, even though it was getting a bit boring with no scoring until the last 5 or 10 minutes of the game when both teams started scoring like whoa. Quito ended up winning and madness ensued. I kept myself busy throughout the game stalking the crowd around me with my camera. It was fun.
